Lucifer Season 5, Lucifer is an American Urban Fantasy television series developed by Tom Kapinos that premiered on Fox on January 25, 2016. Lucifer is based on characters created for DC Comics’ Vertigo by Neil Gaiman and Sam Kieth.

The fans of this series have been waiting for new episodes ever since season 4, concluded in May 2019, with Chloe expressing her love for Lucifer just as he was faced with the decision of returning to reside over hell.

What is Lucifer about?

The series revolves around Lucifer Morningstar, the devil who abandons Hell for Los Angeles where he runs his nightclub and becomes a consultant to the Police. The ensemble and supporting cast include Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker,  Kevin as Detective Daniel “Dan” Espinoza, D.B Woodside as  Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, and Rachel Harris as Dr. Linda Martin. As it is based on a character created by Neil Gaiman for The Sandman comic-book series, Lucifer has superhuman strength and invulnerability, as well as the power to make people tell him their secret desires.

The Cast of Lucifer Season 5

Tom Ellis and Lauren German will reprise their roles as “will they/won’t they” partners Lucifer Morningstar and Detective Chloe Decker. Deniss Haysbert has also been confirmed as great Almighty and Lucifer’s previous boss, who was voiced by author Neil Gaiman in season three.

Kevin Alejandro will be back as Detective Dan Espinoza, alongside Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, DB Woodside as Amenadiel and Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin.

When is it releasing?

The first half of the season will be available to watch on Netflix from Friday 21st August 2020.

Lucifer Season 5 official trailer was launched on 13th July 2020 on Netflix. It provided a glimpse of how Lucifer makes a tumultuous return, Chloe rethinks romance, Ella finally finds a nice guy and Amenadiel adjusts to the whole fatherhood thing.
