Malik: The new Political Thriller review


Today we are going to talk about one of the most gripping political thrillers and social commentary movies, Malik. This is the new Malayalam movie which hit our screens and is making waves with the audiences. So, we thought that this is the perfect time to tell our audience what we think of this new movie.


The film has been directed by Mahesh Narayan. The main actor in this movie has been played by Fahadh Fasil. Mahesh Narayan is a multi talented person and he has shown the same in this movie. He is the writer director for this movie and has also edited the same.


Now, we know that the producers of several movies have not been able to release the movie in theatres. So, they have opted for OTT release. It seems Malik has taken a similar route, they have opted to release Amazon Prime Video.

Malik: What is the Plot?

The plot of the film revolves around the character of Ahammadali Sulaiman. The whole narration takes from this perspective and the people around him. He is the head of a crime family in an area which is predominantly Christian and Muslim.

On insistance of his wife, Roselyn, he decides to do Hajj pilgrimage. Now, Ali is shown as a person who has a lot of respect in his area. But, things are going sour with his previous partner Aboobacker, who is a political rivalry. All of this problem has started to arise because of acquisition of a land which belongs to locals which the government wants to use for building a harbour. Now, this does not sit well with the locals. Moreover, Ali gets arrested on his way to the pilgrimage when he is detained at the airport under the TADA provisions.
