We have a new Premiere date for another Marvel tv series on Disney Plus. The God of Mischief is making his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe slightly later than planned. Initially, Disney said its Loki series would premiere in May, but it has been delayed and the show will now premiere on Disney+ on June 11th.
The series was described by Marvel Studios as a “Crime Thriller” in December during Disney’s big streaming investor day. It follows that the character faces off against the Time Variance Authority, otherwise known as TVA following the events of Endgame. The first trailer of the series was also released in December, and it saw Loki enter a bunch of different worlds.
In addition to Hiddleston, Loki also stars Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, a member of TVA. Loki also features Gugu Mbatha Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. Michael Waldron is the creator and head writer, with Kate Herron in the director’s chair.
With the new release date, it also firmly plants the main character’s months after Black Widow is stated to hit theatres. More Marvel Studios content is slated for Disney Plus throughout the year, too, including Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel. The character is the second Original series to come out of Kevin Feige-led Marvel Studios after Wanda Vision, which is streaming on Disney Plus.
Loki will be followed by shows like Falcon and The Winter Soldier; Ms. Marvel Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk.
