Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction was to be installed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is situated in the Walt Disney World Resort. The ride was being constructed in the Disneyland Park, In 2022, Disney would unveil this new park attraction. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, construction for the ride has been paused. According to predictions, Disney will showcase the new ride not before 2023 as construction is running behind schedule for now. The release is delayed by a year at least.

It was in an Instagram post that Disney revealed the new ride being constructed. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway ride was under construction in the Instagram picture posted by Ken Potrock. Ken is the president of the Disneyland Resort. In the caption, he stated that the ride would not be debuting in 2022(which was the previously announced date), but in 2023.
In his Instagram caption, he expressed how thrilled he was to announce his happiest view on earth. He gave his followers a special peek outside a window of their Disney Anaheim building. That specific view offered a behind-the-scenes look at a momentous moment that happened at Disneyland Park. This magic milestone was the placing of the first steel beam of what will become the future Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
