New lawsuit filed against ‘Toy Story 4’ due to character Duke Caboom’s resemblance to Evel Knievel

Toy Story 4: Evel Knievel’s company sued Pixar and Disney over Duke Caboom ’s likeness to Evel Knievel. According to some source, Evel’s company, K&K Promotions, is suing Disney for story 4.

Toy story Daredevil character Duke Caboom had a resemblance to Evel Knievel. The character is a subject of a lawsuit that claims Disney profited off the unauthorized use of Evel Knievel’s similarity. This is the fourth and possibly the last installment of the Pixar movie.

About the character, Duke Caboom

In the film, Duke caboom is an action figure world’s greatest Canada’s fictional stunt man. He is fully arrayed in nationalist red-and-white, and maple leaves adorn his cape and same motorbike. He constantly exclaims, Yes! I am from Canada. He was abandon after sometime because he did not performed his stunt as it was advertised.

Duke such a kind of character who is always ready to show his stunt poses with all the confidence and swag. However, would you realize that Duke has Achilles hills. And he will never be able to perform his actions and continuously reliving the failures of his tragic past.

What is really happening?

According to the TMC report, KK production is sowing Pixar, Disney, and some subsidiaries for the unauthorized homage. K&K Promotions, who manage the late performer’s likeness,  went further by drawing a comparison between Evel Knievel 1970 toy, which includes a motorbike and the Toy Story character Duke. The production has said that Disney has deliberately avoided all the information regarding this character.

It’s not hard to say from where the production of Evel says all this because the recognition between the two is very similar. The 1975 icon who dressed up into red and white and blue. And if you see The Toy Story character, the reference seems pretty clear like similar commercial in-universe to boot. 

Not only this new character has been sued for plagiarizing. In January 2020, artist Sweet Cicely Daniher also sued Disney for plagiarizing her Unicorn van her sports van in the movie Onward.
