Seth Rogen is all set to be seen in two wonderful roles in his brand-new movie An American Pickle which is released on 6th Aug 2020, on HBO Max. An American Pickle is directed by Brandon Trost. The movie is an adaptation of a short story “Sell Out” written by Simon Rich, who also wrote the script of An American Pickle. The movie is all about the things that survive over generations, Judaism, and the different relations in a family. The film is funny with a broad conservative sentimentality.
Seth Rogen has dual roles in the movie first as American immigrant Herschel Greenbaum and as his great-grandson, Ben Greenbaum. The first role is a man with a big-bushy beard, and the other is without it.

Herschel(Seth Rogen) is a Polish immigrant who moved to America in 1920 in order to build a better life for his family. He accidentally falls into a pickles vat while working in his factory and is brined for 100 years. In the present-day, he emerges in Brooklyn and finds out that he has not aged and all his family members are not alive except his great-grandson Ben, who is an app developer who spent five years of his life in creating an app. Herschel is disappointed to see that Ben has no ambition and pushes him to start a pickle factory to make the Greenbaum name big and prosperous like the one he had once dreamed.

The film received mixed reviews from the audience. Though Rogen’s dual performance was praised by the audience and was stated as a charming showcase for Rogen.
