With the series launch on Netflix, this period drama has gained a dedicated international audience.
The fifth season of the series ended on a huge cliffhanger ―Tommy in the field, holding a gun to his temple.
This chilling ending has made fans desperate for a sixth season.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 Release Date
Fans may have to wait a year or two for the release of season six.
The Episodes for Season 6 had been written and had been sent for pre-production prior to the coronavirus outbreak; however, filming had to be postponed to prevent the spread of disease.
Peaky Blinders Seasons usually aired in September, however, due to the complicated nature of filming in the U.K, it is predicted that Season 6 would launch in late 2021 at the earliest, as reported by RadioTimes.com.
The director of the show, Anthony Byrne posted on his Instagram that they were “so close” to production.
“Sets were built, costumes were made, camera and lens tested. Locations were book. All the prep was done,” he said
With a change in schedule, the makers might bring some changes to the storyline. Creator of the show, Steven Knight revealed that some tweaks had to be made to the storyline. But he insists that the changes brought would “be for the better”.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 Cast
There has been no official statement yet been by BBC regarding casting but you can the main cast members Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby, Harry Kirton as Finn Shelby and Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne to return with the one and only Cillian Murphy as Tom Shelby.
Though the series would take a long time to come back, fans can relax as it looks like Tom Shelby would be part of the season 6 after all.
