Pokemon Sword & Shield: Free Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble available via Pokémon home cloud service

Here comes few more Pokémon that have rolled out for you to grab them for Pokemon Sword and Shield. The players who transfer a monster from any titles to the Pokémon Home can claim the three Galar starters: Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble. Each of these Pokémon has some special abilities.

The hidden ability of Grooky is Grassy Surge which can set up Grassy Terrain as soon as the Pokémon enters the field. Whereas, Scorbunny’s is Libero; this can change the type of Pokémon in order to match whatever move it is using. And Sobble’s Hidden Ability are Sniper which can increase the amount of damage critical hit inflicts.

If you want to claim these starters, then you will have to transfer a Pokemon from Sword to Shield to Pokémon Home on the Nintendo Switch. Once you are done with that you will have to log into the mobile version of Pokémon Home and have to do the following things:

  • Select the Menu Button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Then select the Mystery Gift.
  • After that you will have to select Gift Box.
  • At the end, tap on each Pokemon in the Gift Box and select Receive.

You don’t require having a Pokémon Home subscription to take the privilege of this offer. However, some features of the service like the ability to trade Pokemon or view their base stats will be locked into a premium plan, which will cost $3 USD for each month, $5 USD for three months each and $16 USD per year.

These are not the only Pokémon that are free right now. Free Galarian Pontya is also available for the Sword and Shield players with its secret abilities till 4th June.

As for the Isle of Armor, the DLC expansion is going to release on 17th June. The Pokemon franchise has a lot of information about it consists of new story tidbits, additional tutor moves and many more.
