As of now, there has been no announcement regarding the official release date of this Korean drama. No trailer has been launched but it will consist of 32 episodes. It is expected that it will premiere in the first half of 2021 on channel MBC.
Who is in the cast of Red Cuff of the Sleeve?
The cast of Red Cuff of the Sleeve hasn’t been set yet. There are speculations that Park Hye-soo has been offered the role of Queen Seong Deok km, the lead female role and she is positively considering the offer.
Another lead role is expected to be played by Kim Kyung Nam. There are rumors that he has been offered to play the role of crown prince Jeongjo. In response to these rumors, his agency JR ENT said that no decision has been taken by Kim Kyung Nam but he is thinking about it.
The storyline of Red Cuff of the Sleeve
Its story revolves around the dramatic reversal of life of the queen Seong Deok Im. She had a very beautiful childhood with no worries but then she grows through several problems when her family suffers from a major crisis. However, a drastic change comes when she becomes the highest-ranking queen form being a court lady. It is about the love story of King Jeongjo and royal concubine Uibin Seong.
Jeongjo is the eldest son of the deceased crown prince Sado. He is the next in the line to the throne but he remains in trauma thinking about the death of his father crown prince Sado. However, he wants Seong Deok-Im to become his concubine but she wants to live her life freely and refuses to be his concubine. Knowing that being a concubine doesn’t bring peace and happiness, yet she agrees to be King’s concubine.
