The Irregulars is the new Sherlock Holmes series planned by Netflix. The new Sherlock Holmes series is inspired by the Baker Street Irregulars. In Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Books, there is a gang of street boys who are portrayed to be the intelligence agents for Holmes.
The Irregulars is an upcoming crime web Tv series by the Drama Republic. Tom Bidwell is the creator of the series. The Irregulars is scheduled to release somewhere in 2021. Tom Bidwell is an oscar-nominated writer. He penned the script of Netflix’s Watership Down adaptation. Watership Down adaptation is scheduled to release on 22 December that is Saturday on BBC One. Furthermore, it will stream on Netflix on 23 December, Sunday. On Netflix, it will be streamed as two feature-length episodes.
The Irregulars: New Sherlock Holmes series with a twist:
Bidwell told BBC Writersroom that in Conan Doyle’s Books, there is this gang of street kids who helped Sherlock to gather clues. And not what if Sherlock is a drug addict and the whole case is sorted out by this group of street kids and Sherlock takes the credits for the same. Bidwell further added that it’s his dream project and he has been pitching kt for about ten years. He claims this idea to be his oldest one.
Also, Bidwell revealed that he was very thrilled working on this project with the same team he worked with on E4’s My Mad Fat Diary. The production company is the Drama Republic and he is thrilled to work with it once again. He further added :
“Netflix is incredibly supportive of our vision for the show, and it’s allowing us to be very ambitious with the way we’re telling our stories.”
The Irregulars will portray a twist on the classic tale of Sherlock Holmes.
