Trailer is now out for Netflix’s new reality karaoke show ‘Sing On’, hosted by none other than Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Tituss Burgess. Netflix dropped the trailer this Tuesday for its competitive singing karaoke show. The new reality series is set to debut on Netflix on September 16.
The audience was sorely missing an entertainment-packed reality singing show waiting in their home due to shut down all over the world due to the global pandemic. And Netflix solved this issue by presenting a singing reality show with six contestants which will go through a knockdown cash prize.
In the show stretching for 8 episodes, the contestants have to face-off each other, to win a maximum of $60,000. The show will run on a partly complicated but competitive plan. Each episode will have its own music genre. All the contestants would perform the same song. But hey will be allotted random lines of the same song. The prize money will differ on the performance of each contestant, as judged by the ‘ vocal analyzer’. It would depend on how closely contestants match the original song by various artists.
The contestant who will match the original performance the best will be exempted from the elimination. Then the contestants would decide in the group for the contestant who should be eliminated, deciding whether they want to eliminate the better competitors or want to try to add up more money for the jackpot. The show will be comprised of five rounds, with the last face-off between the best two candidates.
The shoot for the show was held at the Pinewood studio complex near London. “Sing On!” is the English-language version of a format created by the U.K. company Hello Dolly — with versions of Spain and Germany available on Netflix.
