Stateless Season 2: Netflix just doesn’t seem to run out of content. Earlier this year they released Stateless, an Australian web series which brings an honest and brutal insight into the lives of individuals with no place to call home. This epic drama program is inspired by the real-life story of a permanent Australian citizen, Cornelia Rau, who was unlawfully detained.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SHOW:
This series speaks volumes about the crisis the planet is faced with, showing us how we have little to nothing to lose. The creator of the show who also plays a lead role, Cate Blanchett should get all the credit for presenting this key subject on the screen.
From the very first episode to the last moments of the finale, the stakes for the characters on Netflix’s original series were as high as they are available. The Stateless show follows four characters whose lives clash at an immigration detention facility in the Australian Desert in the mid-2000s. All of them come from dramatically different walks of life but are ultimately deeply plagued by the country’s policies towards refugees and asylum seekers.
THE RELEASE DATE IS FAR FROM EARLY
As of today, there have been no announcements whether Stateless Season 2 is to be renewed for a fresh season because the ongoing pandemic situation is definitely not working within the best interest of individuals. However, it had been mentioned some months back by the crew of the show, that the script was made in a way that it held only six episodes. Season one of Stateless was launched not too way back and given how it ended, it’s unlikely to expect a second season anytime soon. Season one was released globally on 8 July 2020 by Netflix and can be watched on its original platform.
DOES THE NETFLIX ORIGINAL DESERVE A RENEWAL?
Sure, they should obtain a renewal after the international success they had in the first season.
This show is jam-choked with incredible performances by the cast and a heartbreaking story.
To anybody living overseas or to anyone normally, “Stateless” is so important for us to work out how Australia(or some countries) treats its refugees. People don’t understand how lucky they’re just to change states in a certain country and have a big amount of comforts that are really easy compared to those accommodated in war-stricken countries. People take it without any consideration and it stays with them long after watching!!
