Is Tenet a sequel?

After the new Christopher Nolan film has been announced fans are wondering if the movie is a sequel to his previous blockbuster Inception. Though this notion has been declined the number of times by the lead in an interview fan remain persistent on the thought of it being a sequel.

Tenet Release:

After numerous delays, the movie finally released on 26 August 2020. The delayed-release was owing to the current coronavirus outbreak. It was the most awaited film of the year.
