Further, The film had a budget of just $15 million. The movie received mixed reviews and became an instant surprise hit. The original movie The Craft was directed by Andrew Fleming. The Craft reboot: What all we know?
In 2016 itself, the sequel for The Craft was announced by Sony Pictures. And later in 2019, an announcement was made that the second film will be a reboot of the first The Craft film. Also, it was said that it will be distributed by Columbia Pictures. And Jason Blum will be producing it along with Blumhouse Productions. Furthermore, when the announcement for the film was made, it was said that Leigh Janiak will be the director. Douglas Wick is the producer of The Craft and he mentioned that the second film will be more of a sequel than a remake. Here is what he said:
There will be callbacks to the original movie, so you will see there is a connection between what happened in the days of The Craft, and how these young women come across this magic many years later.”
Release Date of The Cast reboot:
There is no official announcement for the release date of the reboot of The Cast. However, the production of the reboot began in October last year.
The second film will be directed and written by Zoe Lister-Jones. Andrew Fleming will be the executive producer and screenplay will be written by Daniel Casey.
