The Crown is a Netflix TV series created by Peter Morgan that traces the life of Queen Elizabeth II and those around her.
The series begins with her early rule at merely 25 years of age due to her father’s passing. Followed by romances, political rivalries, and personal interests as the decades pass, all leading up to her life in the 20th century.
The Crown Production
The production of The Crown was set to begin in July of this year according to the showrunners, meaning that it has already begun. The shooting will be taking place at the usual location which is the Elstree Studios, which is located a bit north of London. The place is under strict covid-19 protocols to have maximum safety measures, even though lockdown protocols have begun to ease up in the UK.
As the filming has only just started in the summer, it is expected that Season 5 won’t be released until 2022. The covid-19 pandemic has caused some delays.
It is also expected that the series will have another season after the fifth season, when Peter Morgan mentioned that he thinks to achieve the richness of the show and to give it a sense of completion, he thinks a sixth season is necessary.

It was also reported that Princess Diana’s bombshell interview with the BBC program titled. “Panorama” will also be covered in Season 5 of The Crown. In that Interview, Princess Diana had discussed how her marriage with Prince Charles crumbled due to his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles. She said that it felt like “there were three of us in this marriage”. She also expressed how she was not supported during this situation by the royal institution.
