The last series of their limited three year clause with Amazon Prime is all set to broadcast in January. Reportedly, Jeremy Clarkson addressed the rumours about the show responding that, The Grand Tour won’t be getting a fourth season.
The Grand Tour : Is it happening or cancelled?
As of now, there has been no confirmation regarding the cancellation of the show. Moreover, Jeremy Clarkson stated that The Grand Tour will continue to air atleast two more seasons inspite of the fact that the show may get crashed. He confirmed in a statement: ‘You’ve got us for some more years yet’. As per the reports, the host stated that they have decided to quit studio format car shows to mainly focus on massive overseas specials for the next two years. Hence, we believe the entire fourth season will be designed on a string of road trips special and not including the classic studio format of the show.
Jeremy Clarkson added that, They were signed up to Amazon to execute three seasons and they’re still thriving hard to make season three successful and then turn attention towards the fourth, fifth or many upcoming seasons. They’re grateful and delighted that Amazon has asked them to make more seasons. They love to work with Amazon and it seems even Amazon loves them back hence they want them to do more seasons in future.
The Grand Tour is one of the most popular and massive show of Amazon and it has made £100 Million for the streaming service in three years. The producer of show Andy William said that ‘as of now we’re focusing on series three’.
