The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4: It is a tragedy web television series developed by Bruce Miller. It is based on the novel of the same title by Margaret Atwood from 1985. The series originally premiered on 26th April, 2017 followed by season two and season three.


Hulu renewed the series for a fourth season in July, 2019. The series was highly acclaimed and won eight Primetime Emmy Awards along with Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series.

The plot follows Second American Civil War, wherein authoritarian society refers fertile women as ‘Handmaid’, into accouchement slavery.

Release Date of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 was supposed to release in 2020 but it got delayed due to the COVID-19 global pandemic and the production too was shutdown in March.

Hence, the release date has been pushed to 2021 but any official premiere date is not yet disclosed by the makers. According to reports, the production of Season 4 restarted in early September.


The plot of The Handmaid Tale Season 4

The fourth season of The Handmaid’s Tale would mostly focus on June’s relationship with Nick and the scenario of Canada. In the last season we saw that June manages to liberate many children and women from the dominance of Gilead but she faced a gunshot wound. A recent teaser of the series showcased Gilead in turbulence.

Speculatively, McKenna Grace will be joining the cast of Season 4 and play the role teenage of wife of the commander.

The fourth season would comprise of 10 episodes.
