The Haunting of Hill House season 2 – The show had us breaking out in cold sweat each time a jumpscare came across our little television screens, and fans would be elated to know that this breathtaking (literally) and adeptly written show has been renewed for a second season. In fact, Season 2 is right around the corner.
What do we know about season 2?
When I personally found out that season 2 of The Haunting of Hill House is in the works, I expected it to be about the origins of the souls that haunt the huge castle or, in other words, the Hills. But, as it turns out, the second installment of the series is a totally different story. The Haunting of Hill House season2 is based on a book by Henry James, called The Turn of the Screws, and will be called The Haunting of Bly House. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? No, wait. Scratch that. It sounds SCARY. TERRIFYING. Though the story is different, the show will clearly follow the same brilliant screenwriting and clever scenic transitions that the first season had. All the cliffhangers and the intense moments that made us sit tight on our couches and hold our breaths as Mr. Smiley made an appearance will be there.
I am binge-watching the whole series during the quarantine. Are you? After all, we all love that adrenaline rush that surges through our bodies during those spine-chilling moments. Showrunner Mike Flanagan recently tweeted that they wrapped up shooting just before lockdown and the postproduction process hasn’t been affected by the pandemic. So, it’s safe to say that season 2 will drop by the end of 2020. We can’t wait!
The Haunting of Hill House season 2 – Cast
All the true fans, listen up. Two of the actors from the first season who won our hearts with their acting, Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Luke Crain) and Victoria Pedretti (Nell), are returning! While they will be playing different roles, it will still give a feeling of nostalgia as fans watch the second installment. Victoria said in an interview that she’s really excited for the next season and it is going to be more intense than the first. Are you ready? I know I am.
