Mike Flanagan created and directed this masterpiece. It is produced by Amblin Television and Paramount Television.
The first season is based on a 1959 novel of the same name by Shirlog Jackson and premiered on Netflix on October 12, 2018. It was highly appreciated for its direction, acting, horror elements, and production values.

how will this season be different from season 1?
The second season will be completely different from the previous season. The new season will have different stories in every episode and will be titled ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’. It will be based on the 1898 novel The Turn of the Serer by Henry James.
Back in 2018, its director Flanagan said that the second season would not continue the story of the first season.
Next season would not focus on the Crain family from the previous season. This means we would not get to see Steve, Shirley, Theo, Nell, and Luke.
When will The Haunting of Hill House Season 2 release?
Filming of season 2 has wrapped up but there has been no official statement regarding the release date.
In February 2019, Netflix renewed the series for a new season. So we can expect it to arrive sometime near October 2020.
Who will return for the new season? Any new faces in the second season?
Few original cast members are going to return for the new installment including Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Victoria Pedretti, who played Luke Crain and his twin Nell in the first season of The Haunting of Hill House. However, they will play different roles and not be performing in a pair.
Mike Flanagan has announced some new actors for the second season. New to The Haunting of Bly Manor will be T’Nia Miller (Years and Years) and Rahul Kolhi (Supergirl), and Amelia Eve. Eve and Miller will be portraying lead roles.
