The fourth installment in The Matrix Franchise- ‘The Matrix 4’ is ready to hit the screens in 2022. Lana Wachowski who created the previous three films is returning for The Matrix 4 along with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising their roles.
Filming was started on February 4, 2020, in San Francisco. However, after a month it halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Matrix 4: Release Date and Trailer
As we mentioned above that the filming was stopped due the lockdown but it will possibly start from July 6, 2020. Initially, it was scheduled to release on May 21, 2021, but due to the delay in production work, it will release on 1 April 2022.
Creators haven’t released any trailer yet. Everyone is waiting to get a glimpse of the film. We can expect it by the end of 2020.
The Matrix 4: Cast
The Matrix just wouldn’t be complete without Keanu Reeve and Carrie-Anne Moss. Well, the good news is that Keanue will return as Reo and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity.
Striking Vipens actor, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will play a lead role in the film. Rumours are that he could be seen playing the younger version of Morpheus.
How I Met Your Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris is a part of the film. However, his character is currently unknown.
Other expected cast members are Janathan Groff, Jada Pinkett Smith, Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henrico, Ellen Hollman, Max Riemelt, Lambert Wilson, Erèndira Ibarra, and Brian J. Smith.
Fishburne, Hugo Weaving, and Joe Pantoliano, who were a part of the Matrix and its sequel haven’t been announced for the fourth installment.
