The Power of the Dog is abstracted from the novel of Thomas Savage. The film has been directed by Jane Campion and produced by Jane Campion, Iain Canning, Roger Frappier, Tanya Seghatchian, and Emile Sherman.
It is based on the timeline of the 1920s. The story is about Burbank brothers, George and Phil. The two brothers own a cattle ranch in Montana. They have lived together in the same room for 40 years.
George marries a young widow and brings her to live with him and his brother. The story gets toxic when Phil tries to ruin the life of her sister-in-law. The story is very intriguing and gas aspect of homosexuality, misogyny, and bullying.
It’s not clear that the story will be the same as portrayed in the book. Fans are eager for the film to release but it might take a year.
Release of The Power of the Dog.
The pandemic has brought chaos and misfortune. The film industry is having a tough time has the shootings have been on halt since forever now. The filming for the film was already started in January 2020. However, right after 2-3 months, the shooting was banned due to the coronavirus crisis.
Even after all the hurdles, shooting resumed on 22nd June 2020. Although, it’s expected that the release will not be before 2021.

Kirsten Dunst as Rose, Benedict Cumberbatch as Phil Burbank, Jesse Plemons as George Burbank, Keith Carradine as Governor Edward, Karl Willetts as Bill, and Tatum Warren-Ngata as Libby is going to entertain us through the power of Dog soon.
Thomasin McKenzie, Frances Conroy, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Adam Beach, and Peter Carroll too will be there but their roles have not been disclosed yet.
