The Rain Season 3- Do we have an official trailer? When is it releasing on Netflix?

The Rain Season 3, The Rain is making a comeback with its third and the last installment very soon. The Rain is a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi thriller web television series, created by Jannik Tai Mosholt, Esben Toft Jacobsen, and Christian Potalivo and produced by Christian Potalivo. This Danish show is about humanity’s struggle to find a cure when a virus that has been carried by rain and damaged and wiped almost everything in Scandinavia. Being a Post-apocalyptic genre it is quite different from other ones with the same genre.


Netflix renewed the third season on June 18, 2019. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season of The Rain.

The Rain Season 3: Release Date

Fans need not wait too long for the third season. It is going to hit the screens of Netflix on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Unfortunately, season 3 is the last season of The Rain. Back in 2019, at the time of renewal, creators announced this through the official Twitter account of The Rain.

In the meantime, you all can watch the official trailer of the third season. Netflix launched the first trailer on YouTube in July 2020.


The Rain Season 3: Cast

We will get to see the majority of the cast from the previous season. This includes Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen as Rasmus, Alba August as Simone, Mikkel Følsgaard as Martin, Lukas Løkken as Patrick, Sonny Lindberg ad Jean and Johannes Bah Kuhnke as Sten.

However, Jessica Dinnage as Lea, who sacrificed herself to save Simone, will not be returning for the third season.
Some new characters joining the latest season are Rex Leonard, Cecilia Loffredo, Henrik Birch, and Annemette Andersen.

The Rain Season 3: Expected Plot

A virus that is carried by rainfall vanishes out almost all humans in Scandinavia, Danish siblings Simone and Rasmus take shelter in a bunker. Six years later, they decide to search for their father. Their father was a scientist who left them in the bunker but never he returned after that. In order to search their father, they join a group of young survivors and together they travel across Denmark and Sweden.

The third season will definitely carry on from where the last episode left off. A conflict emerged between the siblings on how to save the world.
Rasmus wants to infect everyone with the same beta version. He wants to do that because that virus turned him into a superhuman. But Simone says that this is not the proper way, there must be a cure.
