The Rain Season 4: The third season for Post-apocalyptic drama, The Rain dropped on Netflix in August and the season was packed with action as Rasmus turned on his Sister Simone, pitting himself against her.
The show is based on a virus carried by rainfall. To save the family from the fatal virus, Dr. Frederik Andersen took his family, which consisted of 2 children and his wife, in a safe bunker. He told his daughter to look after her brother, as he is the cure of the virus. Both of them stayed in the bunker for six long years, and later came out to search for their father. The show takes various twists throughout sessions, with the main protagonist turning into a villain in the finale.
Will there be another season for The Rain?
When announcing the release of the third segment, Netflix also announced that it is the finale of the show. So it’s very much obvious that chances of season 4 are very low.
But we have seen a few incidents when Netflix has renewed a show on fan’s demand.
Few groups are demanding a fourth installment of the show or a prequel.
Currently, it’s theme matches the Coronavirus pandemic, so it might happen that writers come up with the script of the fourth season.
As seen in the finale episode of the third installment, the majority of its cast was dead. Only a few were left.
Simone’s whole family was dead and if in case fourth season comes up, they’ll make a return in form of flashbacks.
If there is a prequel, new cast members might be added.
As of now the main cast is either killed or dead, the story would focus on Simone. Now that the virus is fully vanished, Simone will try to renew the town with the help of remaining members.
It’s quite uncertain but lucky coincidence might put the producers to go for season 4.
