‘The SpongeBob Movie – Sponge on the Run’ is an upcoming American adventure, comedy, live-action, computer-animated film directed by Tim Hill and produced by Ryan Harris. The film is based on the television animated series SpongeBob SquarePants by Stephen Hillenburg which is broadcasted globally on Nickelodeon and Paramount for more than two decades. The show which is very popular among the fans of every age group is now compelled to make another movie. It will be a sequel to ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Out Of Water’ which was released in 2015. Release date of The SpongeBob Movie – Sponge on the Run

In this Coronavirus outbreak, tons of production houses had to put their movies and series on hold. However, The Spongebob: On The Run had a release date. In fact, it had 3. The movie made its first release in theaters on May 22 but the date was canceled. It was then canceled again on July 31 and August 7 respectively. Now the animated movie has announced its release on the digital platform with Netflix taking charge of the distribution rights. So we can expect the movie to release in late 2020 or early 2021.

The main cast of the Sponge Bob movie – On The Run are as follows: Tom Kenny plays the of SpongeBob and Bill Fagerbake plays the role of Patrick in the lead roles. In the movie, we will see the iconic duo of SpongeBob, and Patrick continues their epic and adventurous mission to rescue their pet Snail named Gary. Gary was kidnapped by Poseidon and Poseidon took him to the Lost City of Atlantic City. As they move a step ahead in their journey to rescue their beloved pet, their journey becomes dangerous but also hilarious. Finally, the movie proves that the power of friendship is much greater than any other power in the world.
