The Witcher and his bard – who’s flawless, Will reunite on set 17 August.”

Cast

Considering the new season the show-runner said that the reaction to Season 1 of The Witcher was commanding pretty high as a result of which new talent would be endorsed and the casting team has found the best people to embody the characters. Henry Cavill will once again play the lead as Geralt of Rivia, joined by Anya Chalotra as a powerful mage(Yennefer), Freya Allan as an unwittingly magical princess (Ciri), Joey Batey (Jaskier), MyAnna Buring, Royce Pierre-son, Mimi Ndiweni, Anna Shaffer and Mahesh Jadu.

Netflix confirmed that Kim Bodnia will be joining the cast as Vesemir the mentor of Geralt of Rivia.

Unlike every Netflix series, The witcher was renewed for Season 2 even before its Season 1 release.

What is the theme?

The Witcher: Blood Origin is set an Elven world 1200 years before the world of witcher and the events that lead to the pivotal “conjunction of the spheres”. Only a brief part was referred to in the first season where rifts were created between multiple worlds, leading to monsters and magic to be introduced to the realm. Eventually, the world monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.

Further seasons of The Witcher

Apart from a series of short stories and novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, there are numerous video games that add side quests and plot points to the sword-swinging bloodbath.  So there’s no chance that show-runners  Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Declan de Barra will be fresh out of new episodes.

We can’t wait to see an original story that will enrich our magical and mythical world.

Grit your teeth as you will be buzzing for the season as soon as it releases.

The Witcher season 1 is streaming on Netflix.
