There May Be Three Spin-Offs of The Mandalorian Find All About It Here

The Mandalorian: I don’t think there is even a single person in this world who is familiar with the world of TV shows and hasn’t heard the name ‘Star Wars’. It is an epic space-opera filled with interplanetary space battles and “future wars.” The films were created by George Lucas. On the other hand, The Mandalorian is a television series created by Jon Favreau on Disney+. Favreau also performs duties of the head writer, showrunner and the co-executive producer. The second season of The Mandalorian is set to release in October 2020 on Disney +.

How true is the rumour?

Rumour has it that three spin-offs of the show are in the works. Now read it again. Not one, but THREE of them. Lucasfilm Ltd., an American entertainment production company home to the Star Wars franchise, has not said anything about the spin-offs (or their protagonists) till date. It is interesting to note that this revelation came from Corey Van Dyke, the same person who had earlier correctly predicted the Star Wars: The Bad Batch animated series is coming to Disney+ in the year 2021. But, since no sources have been quoted in the tweet by Van Dyke, it should be treated as nothing more than a rumour for now. Bob Iger, the Executive Chairman of Walt Disney, revealed that he had the ambition to create spin-offs from the Mandalorian. “The priority in the next few years is a television with The Mandalorian season 2 coming in October,” Iger said to Collider. “And then more coming from The Mandalorian thereafter, including the possibility of infusing it with more characters and the possibility of taking those characters in their own direction in terms of series.”

Who could the spin-offs be about?

The two characters that first come to our mind are Boba Fett, hopefully, alive after surviving the Sarlacc Pit, and the Clone Wars’ cult favourite Jedi character Ahsoka Tano.

Also, actor Timothy Olyphant was confirmed to appear in Season 2 and is set to play the role of Cobb Vanth, a gunslinger introduced in the Star Wars fiction.

Cara Dune, an all-time favourite, is also a name that comes forward for a possible spin-off.

Who would YOU want to see getting their own spin-off? Let us know!
