Uzo Aduba Will Be Leading In The Upcoming In Treatment Reboot At HBO

Reportedly, the star of Orange is the New Black; Uzo Aduba is all set to star in HBO’s In Treatment reboot, an Emmy Award nominated drama. HBO made an official announcement on Tuesday that the series will be returning for a fourth season after concluding its original run in the year 2010.

Everything you need to know about Uzo Aduba’s leading role in the upcoming reboot ‘In Treatment’ on HBO!

The production of the show will begin this fall by following the guidelines and safety protocols of Covid-19 and release in 2021, reported by HBO.

The reboot will recreate the show with Uzo Aduba 39 in the main role portraying Dr. Brooke Lawrence. The half hour drama will revolve around the therapist as she examines different trios of patients while struggling with her own personal issues. As of now, other cast members are not known for the reboot of In Treatment.

In the initial season of In Treatment, Gabriel Bryne portrayed therapist Dr. Paul Weston, who use to balance his patients with sessions with his personal therapist, portrayed by Dianne Wiest. Later, both Gabriel Bryne and Dianne Wiest were nominated for Emmy Awards during the show’s initial two seasons. In the year 2008, Dianne Wiest won the Emmy Award, meanwhile Gabriel Bryne received the golden globe award. Moreover, the show also owned a Peabody and an AFI Award.

Last month, Uzo Aduba also won a third Emmy Award for her performance as presidential candidate Shirley Chisholm in the series on Hulu, titled as Mrs. America.

Uzo Aduba in the acceptance speech also dedicated the award to the revolutionary civil rights activist she portrayed.
