The cast of Power Book 2 includes familiar faces from the original series and some new and exciting ones.

Mary J Blige as Monet

RnB legend Mary J Blige announced that she signed up for Power Book II: Ghost while performing for the Television Critics Association in July.

She told the audience, “This will probably be the most exciting thing that will happen to me this year, and I want to thank Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent a lot for starting this conversation with me.

Davis Maclean as Method Man

Method Man will play a lawyer named Davis Maclean.

Davis finds himself drawn into the world of power on multiple axes, and in a world of drugs and murder, all he cares about is winning.

The character is ready to be brilliantly and ethically challenged, with a few secrets of his own.

Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick

Tariq will return, and Power Book II: Ghost will likely continue his college life as he tries to be the new Ghost and possibly build his drug empire.

However, the exact details of Tariq’s role in the split have not been confirmed, and fans have only speculated that this could be the plot.

Naturi Naughton as Tasha St. Patrick

Tasha was imprisoned at the end of season six, and since she was teased in the promo, we’re not done with her character yet.

It’s unclear what her character has in store for the breakup, but it looks like she was escaping from jail when she spotted her in regular clothes in the trailer.

Shane Johnson as Cooper Saxony

It’s unclear what role Saxony will play in the division, but it could be the cop on St. Patrick’s Day.

After being blackmailed by Tariq at the end of season six, it seems like it might be useful to move on.
