The plot of Work It follows the blunders of Quinn Ackerman, who is a hardworking studious, and an introvert teen, desperate to seek admission to Duke University. She tries everything to make herself appear as an appealing candidate.
Meanwhile, in a college interview, her identity is mistaken as an award-winning dance crew member. To gain admittance, she maintains the lie but the problem is she doesn’t know to dance at all.

The story moves forward, as forms her own dance group for the competition. Amidst, she also finds her love interest Jake Taylor and faces rivalry too in the school.

In the climax of the movie, Quinn turns into an extraordinary dancer from a clumsy geek. She also makes many friends and becomes a popular teen of the University.

Review of ‘Work It’ Movie on Netflix

The film seems more of a pilot episode. Other characters are barely introduced in the movie scenes. There is a sweet screenplay shared by the leads Sabrina Carpenter and Fisher. The cast of the film is wisely chosen by director Terusso as it matches the concept of the film(jukebox dance-comedy).

The film’s moral is a bit confusing as it depicts ‘be yourself’ quote to achieve great heights in life and it also doesn’t focus or give importance to the academic aspect of the teen.
