Paul Orndorff, WWE Hall Of Famer Passes Away At 71

Several people have managed to struck a cord with us in the World of Wrestling the past, one among them was Paul Orndorff. He was a WWE Heel and it seems that he has passed away at the age of 71.


Paul had worked in the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling and performed in these leagues. He had the nickname of Mr. Wonderful. The Wrestler got into prominence after he had a feud with Hulk Hogan in the 80s. Hogan was a prominent wrestler during this phase and the fight against him propelled the star into relevance. Paul was also paramount in the exclusive series such as Wrestlemania and the Survivor series. Before getting into WWF, he used to work in the National Wrestling Alliance. Thereafter, he ended up leaving WWF for WCW after his untreated neck injury. But, this did not mean that his popularity dropped after.


Paul Orndorff: The makings of a legend

When he came to WCW, he won the prestigious WCW World Television Championship. The legend also ended up winning the tag team championship along with Paul Roma. The great career came to end in the year 2000. Thereafter, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the year 2005. He was also given a place in the National Wrestling Alliance Hall of Fame in the year 2009.

The reason for his retirement ended up being the damage caused to his arm from a long time injury. But, even after his retirement, he ended up coaching a lot of people. It is not known by a lot of people but the legend and also ended up battling cancer and defeated the same.

Paul Orndorff: Dead at 71

Paul died at the age of 71. He died shortly after he was diagnosed with dementia. The legend passed away in Fayetteville, Georgia.
