Nearly after three years that Justice League debuted in theaters, it is heading for reshoots for the extended cut of Justice League. In what appears to be a unique case in the world of superhero movies, Zack Snyder has prepared for a weeklong shoot in October 2020.
Additional Justice League scenes to be shot in October
As the work continues on the Snyder cut of Justice League, stars such as Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, and Ray Fisher are all geared up to participate in the reshoots. The production is reported to last only a week. So it is somewhat unlikely that these reshoots will alter the plot of Justice League that Snyder has imagined. Instead, these shootings will add new lines of dialogue, will flesh out existing scenes, and will help Zack Snyder in transforming his movie into a four-part series.
Star Ray Fisher’s involvement in it is quite surprising given the tensions that ensued between the actor and Warner Bros. During the promotion of the Justice League in 2017, Fisher made headlines by stating that Joss Whedon had created a hostile and abusive environment on-set.
Former executives Geoff Johns and Jon Berg were also targeted for enabling bis abusive behavior. Fisher had to then go through an internal investigation opened by Warner Bros. However, he claimed that the company’s way of handling the investigation was not appropriate. Although, the studio denied this and instead claimed that he was refusing to cooperate.
The tension between Fisher and Warner Bros may continue through the DC movie universe as fans wait for him to reprise his role as Cyborg in 2022’s The Flash. Affleck and Michael Keaton will be featuring in their respective Batman roles in the movie. Henry Cavill as Superman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman will be back.
