China is prepared to place United State companies in an ‘unreliable entity list’, as a part of the countermeasures against Washington’s move to dam the shipments of semiconductors to Huawei Technologies, as the Global Times reported on Friday.
The measures includes launching investigations and imposing restrictions on United State companies such as Apple Inc., Cisco Systems Inc., Qualcomm Inc. as well as suspending purchase of Boeing Co. airplanes, as the report said here citing a source.
The Global Times is published by People’s Daily, the official newspaper of China ’s ruling the Communist Party. While the Global Times is not an official mouthpiece of that party, its views are believed for reflecting those of its leaders.
Earlier within the day, the UnitedState Department of Commerce told that it had been amending an export rule to “strategically target Huawei’s acquisition of semiconductors that are the direct product of certain U.S. software and technology”.
