Tiktok in statement to US’ orders said that it’ll pursue all remedies

On 7th August 2020(Friday), the famous video sharing application Tiktok has threatened the US to take legal action in the US court against Donald J Trump’s executive order to ban everyone under the US jurisdiction from doing business with the Tik tok application’s company owner ByteDance.


What does the Tiktok company say?

Tik tok said in its one of the statement that the company will pursue all the remedies possible to make sure that the rule of law is not discarded and especially that the company, it’s members and its users are all treated with a fair judgment given by the administration or by the US courts.


The President of the US, Donald J Trump released an executive order prohibiting the China-based company from doing business with the US firms after 45 days. Replying to this, tik tok said that it was shocking to receive the order and said that it “ was issued without any due process.”

On 6th August 2020( Thursday), Trump issued an order restricting everyone in the US from doing transactions with the popular Chinese video-sharing application owned by ByteDance. Regarding the spread of the mobile application owned or developed by the Chinese companies, the president said that these Chinese applications continue to threaten the foreign policy, national security, and the economy of the US.

The order issued by Trump said that “ At this time, action must be taken to address the threat pose by the one mobile application in particular tik tok. Earlier it was announced by the officials of the Trump administration that China has access to all the data and information of every user of the app tik tok.

But later, the company ByteDance denied this statement.
