Activision says Diablo Immortal was a good idea after the success of COD Mobile!

Diablo Immortal was the first game from the franchise Blizzard to enter the mobile platform. The game was announced back in the year 2018. Well, now the game is being tested internally. Diablo Immortal is the part of the Diablo series and is of Hack and slash genre.

After a bunch of Criticism received by Diablo Immortal, the company had to worry about its mobile strategy. But after the massive success of CoD: Mobile has declared the immense potential of the platform. The game successfully crossed 100 million downloads in just one week since the launch. This amount was nearly 4 times of Fortnite, Apex Legends and PUBG. Recently, it crossed 250 million downloads and was able to collect more than $327 million from the spending of the players.

In an interview, Dennis Durkin was questioned about the impact of CoD mobile on Diablo Immortal. He said that the company is currently looking at the surface and finding its capability with mobile games. Therefore, CoD has offered a great opportunity for the franchise.

The early success of the CoD mobile has represented the awesome strategy of the franchise with mobile games. And therefore, they will be looking forward to engaging even more players through mobile and other platforms. He also said that the free-to-play games are a plus point for their franchise and not a “cannibalistic”.

Recently, a new trailer was revealed for Diablo Immortal. The reveal was done in the biggest video game convention of China, known as the ChinaJoy. Well, Blizzard has also planned for internal testing of the game. But, they have not said anything related to any beta version of the game.

Diablo Immortal will be playable on iOS and Android.
