Amazon rebrands Twitch Prime to Prime Gaming!

Amazon Prime is now re-branding with the Twitch Prime to Prime Gaming. Well, this means that the subscribers of Amazon Prime will now be getting the benefits of the streaming platform too. The brand will be dropping the name of Twitch and therefore will be known as Prime Gaming.

The name will be changed, but still, the platform will be offering the same benefits to its users. These consist of the in-game contents, free games, and a free monthly subscription of Twitch.

Prime Gaming will match with the other content that is provided with Amazon Prime Subscription like the Prime Video which streams movies and TV shows and also Prime Reading for digital magazines, ebooks, and many more. Amazon Prime costs $12.99 per month and $119 per year. They also offer free delivery on many of the platforms.

Along with Twitch, the streaming service, Amazon also owns Amazon Gaming which is its game development branch. However, Crucible was not that good for the company to grow its roots in the Gaming Industry. The game was launched in May but had to return to beta after seeing a steep fall in the interest of the gamers. MMO New World is an upcoming open-world game that was supposed to come out in August but has been delayed to Spring 2021 on 10th July. Also, it was said that a version of the Pac-Man would be coming which will be directly playable in Twitch. This was expected to drop by June.

It has also been rumored that Amazon will soon launch its cloud gaming service. This project is said to be named as Project Tempo. The rumors say that this will come as early as this year. However, there are chances of getting it delayed because of the consequences faced by the company because of the pandemic.
