Recently, Larian Studios dropped us some information about the early access for Baldur’s Gate 3. It is calling Baldur’s Gate 3 the most ambitious RPG yet.
Larian updated that the Early Access of the game will be available for at least a year. They further said not to purchase the game until you want a polished experience. On Steam, you find the notes by the studio: “While we did our best to remove the most annoying bugs and optimize the game as much as we could, there are still plenty of issues and it will take us time to fix them. Only buy the game now if you want an early look or if you want to participate in community feedback. Otherwise, you’re probably best off waiting until version 1.0 releases.”
The primary content that will be available for the Early Access is Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3. This act will be featuring an approx. 25 hours of self-contained content. This version will be supporting six player classes with the number of races/subraces to be determined. This early access version will consist of five origin characters that can be recruited but cannot be played as in this version. Larian further said that we can expect to get the new features during the early access. The updates consist of new classes and races. Most of the advertised features by Baldur’s Gate 3 are under development.
However, not every language will be supported because of the writers that are under development. Well, Act 2 and 3 are under development and are expected to launch until the official launch with 1.0. Larian further said that they value in receiving feedback and exploring the game ideas with a live community. Therefore, the Early Access seems like a good fit for the game.
The Early Access for Baldur’s Gate 3 will be opening on September 30. Well, you can head here for all the details related to the game.
