Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Beta starts this October on PS4!

The most waited multiplayer reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has finally arrived following a leak. Activision officially announced the beta test which will be dropping on the PS4 first. And there are several different dates for the different platforms. Well, the dates also depend upon whether you pre-order the Cold War or not.


Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta Start Dates

Activision further revealed that there are going to be two beta test weekends. So, it might be a bit confusing for you to see two beta tests. Well, the first test will be running only on the PS4 for the customers who have pre-ordered before opening to the other PS4 owners. Well, PlayStation Plus is needed in some of the territories.


The second test will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC which will also support cross-play. Therefore, you will be able to play with your friends who use other consoles. The pre-orders on Xbox Series X/S also qualify for this Xbox One early access. Xbox Live Gold is necessary for the Xbox One owners. Well, you can get the Game Pass Ultimate for $1 along with Xbox Live Gold. So, you will be able to get access too.

  • 8-12 October
    • Early access (PS4/PS5 pre-orders): October 8-9
    • Open access: October 10-12

Beta weekend 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC — cross-play enabled)

  • 15-19 October
    • Early access (Xbox One/Series X/PC pre-orders, all PS4 owners): October 15-16
    • Open access: October 17-19

How to Gain access to the beta test: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold war

You can get the beta access for sure if you have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, Activision has also offered the beta access giveaways to the viewers of Call of Duty League matchups. Well, that event is already over. But we are expecting that the company will offer giveaways in the future too.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be playable on the PC, Xbox One and PS4. However, the game will also be playable on the next-gen consoles: Xbox Series X and PS5.
