Call of Duty League announced playoffs and championship weekend dates

Call of Duty is one of the most popular games of the time. This time we are seeing the inaugural session of Call of Duty League. It was filled with circuit tournaments and also traditional format has also remained in the game. But, this marks the first time that the teams are competing for a league position.


We have to say that now the tournament is at its fag end. This is because there are only two Home Events to go now. We see that all the teams are focusing on their league placements. But, it is the fans who have us excited. They are looking towards the future i.e., the postseason.


Dates have been announced

We have to say that the developer, Activision has already announced the dates for the curtain caller of the league. Now, in order to decide the top rankings of the CDL Season, Activision has announced the dates for CDL Playoffs. The CDL Playoffs are supposed to take place on August 19-23. The positions for the CDL Playoffs will be made on the basis of CDL Standings.

The Final Four teams will battle for the pole position for the Call of Duty League Championship. This is supposed to take place from August 29-30. Now let us talk about the prize pool of the Season.

The total prize pool has amounted to $4.6 million. The winning team will win a $1.5 million for their achievement.

CDL Championship & Playoffs format

We had mentioned earlier that the CDL Standings will decide how the teams compete in the playoffs. So here are the details. The teams which stand in 1st and 2nd place will receive a two-round bye. The 3rd and 4th place will receive a one-round bye. The teams which finish 5-8th place will get a position in the Upper Bracket. The teams in the 9-12th place will get the worst hand at the Lower Bracket.
