Devil May Cry 5 Won’t Be Having Ray Tracing on Xbox Series S

Capcom confirms that Xbox Series S will not be able to support the flagship visuals of Devil May Cry 5.


The Ray Tracing will not be supported on less powerful consoles. The publisher on Monday confirmed that the Xbox Series X will be receiving the feature via a title update.


However, the publisher didn’t mention anything about the PS5. Well, we saw ray tracing working on the console in every promotion videos.

In the special edition of Devil May Cry 5, the players can choose to turn on the Ray Tracing and prioritising resolution (4K / 30fps) or frame rate (targeting 1080p / 60fps), as well as other visual modes without it.

The Xbox Series X and Series S is going to launch soon. And, Devil May Cry 5 will be able to run on the Xbox Series S and Series X with high frame rates up to 120 fps, enhanced 3D audio, reduced loading time, higher difficulty, Turbo Mode and playable Vergin on both the consoles.

The users who will be playing DMC 5 on their Xbox Series X console will be able to play the game at 4K resolution along with Direct Ray Tracing.

The Ray tracing will be downloadable on Xbox Series X. However it will not be downloadable even with the Special Edition on Xbox Series S.

As we all are aware that Xbox Series X and Series S, both are powerful consoles. So, all we can do is wait and watch until we get our hands on these consoles.

Devil May Cry 5 is currently up for pre-order. Also, the customers who pre-order the game will be receiving 100,000 Red Orbs.

Devil May Cry 5 will be launching on November 18. It will be playable on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, the game will be launching on December 15 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will cost you $4.99.
