Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires first next-generation release announced

In the 20th-anniversary stream of the developers, Koei Tecmo showcased the Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires.


The game is the first Dynasty Warriors game to be arriving at the next-gen console. It will be releasing on the Xbox Series X/S, PS5 along with PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.


If you have tried out the Dynasty Warriors series, then you might be a fan of the classic massive battles of the series and the Seige Battle. They allow you to play as the commander and deploy the units.

Dynasty Warriors is known for its 1vs1000 gameplay. You will be taking on the hordes of enemies single-handedly.

The Dynasty Warriors series also supports split-screen co-op gameplay. However, the Empires will require wireless co-op. Therefore, you and your friend will require a copy of the game to play with each other.

Empires is like a spin-off version of Dynasty Warriors which has gameplay like a board game. You can also play as the devil in the game if you choose to. The will be leading to some cool developments. 

Some new features, functions and systems will be added in Empires. This will allow you to customize your officers and your troop as you rule the arena.

All your officers and generals are known as the Three Kingdoms War. they are capable of changing their actions along depending on your actions. This will therefore be able to add a level of politics to the gameplay.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires will be launched next year. The game will be playable on the PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. It will also be playable on the next-gen consoles- Xbox Series X/S and PS5. However, the game will be available on the PC via Steam.
