Freedom Fighters by IO Interactive is coming back.

Freedom Fighters has been re-released after 17 years of the original debut. The game is currently available on Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store. The game was made available on the above Stores from September 21. Currently, the game is available for 33% during the release week.

Currently, the studio, IO Interactive is also working on Hitman 3 which is set to release on September 21, 2020. So, this might be just a placeholder.

The game was re-released surprisingly for PC on GOG.

The game was originally released back in 2003. It was playable on the PC, PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. Freedom Fighters is a third-person action game.

About the game: Freedom Fighters

In the game, New York is being invaded by a foreign superpower. You play the role of Chris Stone who is a plumber. Therefore, you will have to increase your ranks to become a freedom-fighter leader. In the shoes of Chris, you travel to different locations to complete missions, find weapons, lead your team and recruit members. It consists of tactical squad-based gameplay. You will be leading a squad of 12 members. Train your troop to fight against the invaders who took your freedom away.

Originally, Freedom Fighters was published by Electronic Arts. However, after the separation, IO Interactive owns the rights of the game.

Freedom Fighters is one of the most successful game by IO Interactive. However, the fans were hoping to see a remastered version and it seems that IO Interactive has successfully delivered it.

Well, the physical version of Freedom Fighters will not be available. Therefore, the digital version for the PC is currently available for purchasing.

On purchasing the game you will also be receiving bonus items- 16 music tracks from the game.

Freedom Fighters has been re-released for PC. Only the digital version of the game is currently available.
