Tencent’s ‘Honor of Kings’ made $64 million in a week which is the first fastest-growing mobile game. Well, Honor of Kings is followed by Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact was able to generate $60 million in its first week of sales. Well, Fortnite is out of the queue now because it conflicts with the app store developers.
It is an online role-playing open-world game. It is the second-highest-grossing mobile game on the app store. The first one in the list is Honor of Kings. It features a fantasy-based open world and an action-based battle system.
Genshin Impact made its debut on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store on September 28. A version by miHoYo was also distributed for the consoles. It is free to play the game. However, they can collect revenue from in-game purchases. The purchases are- to remove ads, level up your character skills or powers or get a new playable character and skins.
Most of the sales consist of Chinese buyers. They combinedly spent $25 million on the game as claimed by SensorTower.

Also, approximately 58% of the revenue of the game come from players who reside outside China. The players from the other parts of the world have spent approx. $35 million in. The players from America have spent $8 million till now on the game. And, this amount is about 13% of the total revenue of Genshin Impact.
The debut of Genshin Impact is one of the biggest global launches until now for a Chinese game publisher.
Genshin Impact is playable on the PS4, Android devices, iOS devices and PC. The game will arrive on the Nintendo Switch soon. However, the date is still a mystery.
