Many games have revealed that they will be offering a free upgrade to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 (PS5) from the current gen-consoles. So, now we are aware of how will it look when a PlayStation game will be eligible for the upgrade. When you look at the bottom of the box of Immortals: Fenyx Rising, you will notice a small and unobtrusive sticker at the bottom.
According to Wario64, the box art shows a small tag at the bottom just beside the PEGI rating. The tag says. “PS5 Upgrade Available.” During the announcement of Immortals, Ubisoft revealed that the title will be available for a free upgrade.
This sticker is relatively very small whereas the tag from Microsoft is way larger “Optimized for Xbox Series X” sticker. This sticker is also expected to be seen on some of the cross-gen games. The PlayStation sticker is narrower at the bottom whereas the Xbox Sticker takes comparatively more room than the PEGI rating. Well, there are chances that these designs might change before the launch of the next-gen consoles.
Well, there might be some reasons for Microsoft to enlarge their tag. As we know that the company is also launching Xbox Series S beside the Series X. So, to differentiate between these two the company decided to enlarge the sticker.
Therefore, now it will be easier for us to find out the games which will be allowing free upgrades from the current-generation consoles to the next-generation consoles (Xbox Series X/S and PS5).
Immortals: Fenyx Rising is releasing on December 3. The game is playable on the Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. However, the game is also arriving for the next-gen consoles- Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
