Retro-FPS Dusk to get a Mario-Inspired level on the switch soon!

Dusk is a first-person shooter game. The game was first released back in 2018. Well, now it will be adding a new endless level, which will be in the form of a Super Mario homage. In an event of 3D Realms’ Realms Deep, which happened a week before. The new levels of the game will be turning the iconic castle of Super Mario 64 into a Flesh Palace, which will be filled with monsters to explode into glorious low-poly particle effects.


Dusk is a first-person shooter game. The game is designed in a retro style. Dusk was developed by David Szymanski and was published by New Blood Interactive. The game was released on January 10, 2018

We see that the trailer kicks off some iconic Super Mario music and sound effects. However, the commentary on the trailer clarifies that these sound effects will not be included in the real game levels. In the second half of the video, we find how will the sound and music effects actually sound like in the new levels.

However, it has been confirmed that the level will be coming only to the own consoles of Nintendo. In a comment on a video, the publisher said “please don’t sue us Nintendo.”

However, it is a doubt whether this new monstrous level will be able to get past the aggressive lawyers of Nintendo or not.

Well, 3D realms is not new to copyright lawsuits. Last year, Ion Maiden the successor of Ion Maiden had to change their name. They had to change their name to Ion Fury after a legal challenge from the band Iron Maiden.

Dusk will arrive on the Switch this Halloween, i.e., October 31. The game is already available for the PC, along with Linux and Mac.
