It has been confirmed that Spider-Man will soon be joining the Marvel’s Avengers roster. The above announcement was done by Developer Crystal Dynamics. The roster will be free, post-launch DLC. However, it was also confirmed that the webslinger is going to be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.
But, the type of gameplay of Spider-Man was not shared by the studio. No screenshots of Spider-Man have been rolled in the game. This shows that the team is still working on the development process of the new playable character.

Along with the interesting gameplay, Jeff Adams, the art director of Crystal Dynamics’, said that he wants the players to make use of a lot of web configurations and gadgets in order to enhance their traversal. He further said that they are working on giving Spider-Man “unique skill trees” which will be consisting of an “impressive suite of iconic abilities and attacks at your disposal, which gadgets and skills you wish to upgrade.”
Adams said that Spider-Man will be having an impressive acrobatic abilities which will be enhancing our experience. According to him, this will make the players feel “graceful and light” while playing.
When talking about the looks, it will be influenced by both the works of Steve Ditko as well as John Romita Sr. Therefore, the players will be experiencing a new as well as a familiar Spider-Man. Also, many costumes will be made available like the other heroes of the game.
Spider-Man is going to be the second-post launch DLC that has been confirmed for the Marvel’s Avengers. However, the first one was exclusive for only one console. Also, Hawkeye will be joining in order to help the Avengers and will be coming somewhere in September, when the game will be rolled out.
Marvel’s Avengers will be coming for the PC, PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The game will also be coming to the next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. But Spider-Man will be made available only on the PlayStation.
