EA is coming up with more Star Wars games which will be arriving at the consoles of the family and the PC this year. Star Wars: Squadrons is developed by Motive Studios and will launch on October 2, 2020, for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game will be available on the PC via Origin, Steam and the Epic Games Store. This title will also be playable on the PS4 and the PC. However. Star Wars: Squadrons is currently available for pre-order on all the platforms.
EA, on Monday, announced about the game. So, they teased a reveal trailer on Monday, June 15 at 8 AM PT/ 11 AM ET.
Not many details were revealed about the game. However, the key art shows a Reveal as well as Imperial TIE pilot along with many starfighters. Some mainstays that will be recognizable along with some unpopular variants.
Some fans are guessing that this game could be like the dogfighting mechanics that were present in Star Wars Battlefront 2. However, the name of the game shares the similarities of the classic series Rogue Squadron.
Star Wars: Squadrons will also be featuring cross-play support on the PS4, PC, Xbox One and VR. Therefore, you will be able to team up with your friends independent of the platform they are playing on. The game has intense gameplay and cosmetics along with some customization options. Therefore, you will be able to design your pilot, cockpit and ship exterior according to your choice. You will also gain things such as weapons, shields and engines to prepare your starfighter to move up your ranks.
Star Wars: Squadrons will be playable on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
