Ubisoft announces Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell will be coming to Oculus devices

Ubisoft announces that they are officially working on the new Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed game for virtual reality.

Both these games are being developed by the Red Storm studio of Ubisoft. The previous VR projects consist of Star Trek: Bridge Crew and Werewolves Within. The new projects were revealed along with many more. The Oculus Quest 2 was unveiled during the Facebook Connect event which was held on 16th September.

However, what the Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed games will be about are not specified. Their respective teaser images seem to be general franchise art rather than saying something specific about the game. Therefore, it is going to be exciting to see what the new Splinter Cell game is going to be.

Both of these games will be taking advantage of Oculus’s technology completely.

Here is the announcement from the Facebook Connect:

Recently, Ubisoft held a presentation in which they said about multiple announcements from the company. They confirmed that Immortals Fenyx Rising will be launched on December 3. Also, it was announced that Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game will be coming back too.

Red Storm is a leading development team which is supported by Ubisoft studios.

Well, it seems that Ubisoft is investing highly in VR. The previous week, it announced Far Cry VR: DR Into Insanity. This will be bringing one of its biggest franchises to the location-based VR realm.

However, the release dates of Assassin’s Creed VR and Splinter Cell VR have not been announced until now. Both these titles are going to be exclusive for this hardware, Oculus VR.
