Ubisoft announced that Ubisoft Club and Uplay services will merge under a common title on October 29. This event will be known as Ubisoft Connect. Well, the publisher decided to unlock more than 1,000 Club rewards that will not be accessible under the new program.
Ubisoft is a French game company. The headquarters of the franchise is located in Montreuil. The company was found on 12 March, 21986. The company consists of several game franchises like the Rayman, Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Just Dance, the Tom Clancy’s series and Raving Rabbids.
Some of their older games will not be patched anymore. And these titles have not been transitioned to Ubisoft Connect. Also, it will still support Ubisoft Club that will be branding even after the launch of Ubisoft Connect.
Ubisoft Club rewarded the players with Uplay units when they will complete certain in-game challenges like completing a mission or any random task. These rewards can be desktop wallpapers to in-game skins and upgrades. After Connect goes live this month, the Club challenges for various games will be disabled. However, leaderboards and stats will be accessible.
The games that will not be available for a full shift to Ubisoft Connect consist of recent games such as Far Cry 5, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Anno 1800, Just Dance 2020, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Starlink: Battle for Atlas and The Crew 2. Also, several older instalments in the series of Assassin’s Creed.
Live games like The Division 2 and Rainbow Six Siege are scheduled to come into the Connect fold over two months after October 29. And, every new game by Ubisoft is expected to launch with complete functionality of Connect. However, the picture of Ubisoft Connect is unclear to us. But, soon this will be found by players.
