So far amid the pandemic, AI gas-operated about 6 flights to China. The first two flights were operated on 31 January and 1 February to fly Indians back from Wuhan. Since there are a significant number of Indians in China, AI planned to have more flights to fly them back.

If this flight on 30 October will impact the other flights to operate to China under VBM is still not known yet. The embassy in a statement said that under VBM, the Indian government is facilitating the return of Indian nationals from abroad to India in a phased manner.
