New Delhi: On 30 October, about 19 passengers on Air India’s Delhi Wuhan flight-tested covid positive on arrival at Wuhan.

Last Friday, nearly 19 passengers of Air India’s Delhi Wuhan tested positive for covid on arrival in the origin city of a global pandemic. Furthermore, out of 227 passengers, 40 of them had a presence of covid antibodies.
So according to China’s special administrative region of Hong Kong, Airlines are suspended for fourteen days of more than five passengers on any single flight test positive for the virus on arrival.
On Monday a statement was issued by The Indian embassy in Beijing. The statement said that AI is planning to operate 4 VBM( Vande Bharat Mission) flights to Delhi on 13,20,27 November and 4 December. The flight on 30 October witnessed about 277 Indians flying from Delhi to Wuhan. Also, 157 had a return trip. According to officials those tested positive in Wuhan were hospitalised in Wuhan itself.
So far amid the pandemic, AI gas-operated about 6 flights to China. The first two flights were operated on 31 January and 1 February to fly Indians back from Wuhan. Since there are a significant number of Indians in China, AI planned to have more flights to fly them back.
If this flight on 30 October will impact the other flights to operate to China under VBM is still not known yet. The embassy in a statement said that under VBM, the Indian government is facilitating the return of Indian nationals from abroad to India in a phased manner.
The flight on 30 October saw the largest number of people flying back to the origin of a global pandemic. People flew back to China on a special flight from India during the pandemic. Also, the temporary ban on resident permit visa holders has been removed by Beijing.
