India- China faceoff at LAC

The bold step by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi of banning of several Chinese apps has been applauded and supported by many countries including the US, UK, Japan and Australia. This step was highly required after the recent face-off with China at LAC.

Many rounds of talks had been held between the military officials of India and China, but the situation of LAC is still ‘delicate’. Many brigade commander level interactions have been of no use and could not produce any important outcome.

The situation is now worse than ever between India and China at LAC which is the first incident of this kind in decades. The situation started to degrade drastically after Galwan valley clashes on June 15, which led to the death of 20 Indian personnel. The casualties suffered by China have not been made public, but according to the intelligence report, it was 35.

There has been also a fresh attempt to change the power and status in the Pangong Lake area from the side of China.
